A customer approached my counter with their items and we had the following conversation:
“Hello.” I said

“Hello to you too.” They replied.

“Did you find everything you were looking for?”

“Yes, I did. Thank you for asking.”

“Not a problem.”

 I take care of their transaction without any difficulties. Me and the customer make small talk back and forth about items that they bought and other things. We are in the midst of finalizing the transaction, when they say:

“Thank you, and have a great day.”

“Thank you. You do the same. I appreciated your service and hope your managers now how good of a job you do.”

“You’re welcome, and I appreciate your comment. It made my day a little better. I will make sure to mention to the managers what you said.”

“Well, when customer service is as good as yours is, it definitely makes an impression.”
