Surface-  This advertisement is about a man teasing a dog for a Doritos chip
Intended- The company used this ad to gain customers during the Super Bowl in 2012. This advertisement does not advocate being mean to dogs…it is purely a novice act of teasing the dog with food.
Cultural- This advertisement is used to be humorous and provide some sort of entertainment in 30-40 seconds of air time to be able to show off their product and have some fun. Doritos is a company that tries to have some fun with its advertisements. The dog ended up getting the better end of the deal by busting the door down on the man and eating is bag of Doritos while atop the door. GO DOG. 🙂
